Owner

metrovalencia.org belongs to David Franco Aguirre, who publishes under the GoRandom brand from Avenida Lehendakari Aguirre, 81 — 48015 Bilbao (Bizkaia), Spain. Any communication, including legal notices, should go to [email protected].

This website is not FGV

Nothing published here is official. Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana, the Autoritat de Transport Metropolità de València and the Generalitat Valenciana take no part in this website: they do not fund it, do not review it before it goes out and are not responsible for its content. Our only relationship with the three of them is that we read what they publish and cite it. Whenever something on this site differs from what the operator says, the operator is right.

Trade marks, station names and stop names

“Metrovalencia”, “FGV”, their logos and the names of the tickets and travel cards belong to their owners, as do the line numbers and line colours. They appear here for the one purpose that trade mark law allows and the subject requires: to identify the service being described. No logo of the operator forms part of the design of this website.

Sources and their licences

This website does not produce information about the service: it collects it, and each source comes with its own terms. The full list is below; the gaps are explained in more detail on about us:

  • Network, lines, stations and stops (order, interchanges, fare zone, postal address and P+M park-and-ride car parks): the list of stations and the page of network figures published by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana under the Metrovalencia brand, checked against its own official timetable. Whether each line is classed as metro or tram is taken word for word from the operator.
  • Timetables, travel times between stations and frequencies: FGV’s official timetable in GTFS format (google_transit.zip, downloaded on 20 October 2026). It is a rolling window that the operator regenerates every day: the one used here runs from 20 October 2026 to 27 December 2026, and it has to be rebuilt before it ends. Every time on this website is the published timetable, never live data.
  • Fares, zones and cards: the Resolution of 17 June 2025 of the Board of Directors of the Autoritat de Transport Metropolità de València (DOGV no. 10139, 27 June 2025), Decreto ley 9/2025 and Decreto ley 6/2026 (DOGV no. 10393) for the temporary fare reduction, and Real decreto-ley 17/2025 for the national government’s share, all checked against the fares pages of metrovalencia.es. The zone of each station was read from the official fare-zone map, edition FGV-01/2026.
  • Coordinates: those of the official timetable; the OpenStreetMap ones are kept for comparison.
  • Municipality, district, neighbourhood and nearby places: data from OpenStreetMap contributors, © OpenStreetMap contributors, under the ODbL licence. Distances are in a straight line and walking minutes are an estimate.
  • Opening dates and former names: the Spanish Wikipedia, licensed under CC BY-SA, and the OpenStreetMap old_name tag, both used as unofficial cross-checks because the operator does not publish them station by station.
  • Accessibility: no per-station data is published, because the operator does not publish any. The network-wide figures (153 escalators and 110 lifts) are the operator’s and are quoted as such.
  • Network map: the official map is FGV’s work, protected by copyright, and is not reproduced here. The map published on this website is drawn by us from the data (the stations, the order of each line and the positions in the official timetable). Map drawn by this site (CC BY 4.0) from the official data of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana. FGV’s own fare-zone map is protected by copyright and is not reproduced here.
  • Service status: the board on the home page is not connected to any live source, because no such source exists. It only shows whether the network is within its service hours.

FGV and the ATMV own the original information; this website reuses and cites it, which implies no relationship with them and no endorsement on their part.

How long the timetables are valid

This gets a section of its own because it is the most important limitation of this site. The operator’s timetable file is not a seasonal timetable but a window of a few weeks, and the one behind these pages ends on the date given above. From that day on, and until the dataset is rebuilt, the times shown here may no longer match the service. Before you travel, and especially if you are reading this long after that date, check the timetable on metrovalencia.es.

Accuracy and limitation of liability

The pages are rebuilt from the captured data instead of being edited by hand. That stops a figure from going stale because nobody rewrote its paragraph, and it prevents nothing else: a source can be wrong, a capture starts ageing on the day it is made and engineering works can change the service without notice. No liability is accepted for a broken link, for a fare that differs from the published one or for decisions made on the basis of these pages.

Intellectual property

The wording of the texts, the page design and the code are ours. Everything else belongs to whoever published it and is used under the licences listed above, including the share-alike obligation where the source is CC BY-SA.

Each one checked against its Commons page to make sure it shows the station where it is published.
