Oceanogràfic opened on 17 May 2022 together with Line 10. It stands on carrer d’Eduardo Primo Yúfera, level with numbers 2 and 3. It is an open surface stop with no ticket hall or barriers: you step straight from the pavement onto the platform, as on the rest of the section where the tram runs on its own dedicated track.

The name means exactly what it says: the aquarium is about 80 m from the platforms, and most of the places listed around the stop are parts of the aquarium itself. Lying between Ciutat Arts i Ciències – Justícia and MoreresES, this is the stop for the southern end of the City of Arts and Sciences.

Frequently asked questions

Yes: the aquarium entrance is about 80 m from the platforms, which is exactly why the stop bears its name. Some parts of the aquarium, such as the Papilionari or the Lleons Marins, are even closer as the crow flies.

It is about which part of the complex each stop leaves you at. The previous stop is next to the Museu de les Ciències, the Ágora, CaixaForum and the Ciutat de la Justícia; Oceanogràfic serves the southern end, where the aquarium is. The two are just one stop apart.

Only Line 10, a tram line, serves Oceanogràfic.
Oceanogràfic is in zone A of the ATMV fare system. Prices for each combination of zones are on tickets and cards.
From Monday to Thursday the first tram calls at Oceanogràfic at about 05:54 and the last at about 23:29, depending on the direction and the line. On Friday and Saturday service runs on into the early hours, and on Sunday it starts later: the table above gives every direction, from the timetable published by FGV.
With the Metrovalencia Sencillo (single) ticket, a journey from Oceanogràfic to Xàtiva (zone combination A) costs €1.50. With the TuiN stored-value card or a SUMA ticket it works out a good deal cheaper: it is all on tickets and cards.
We cannot say. FGV does not publish the accessibility of each stop: the station pages on its website do not carry the information, nor does its GTFS timetable, and there is no official list. For the network as a whole it does publish a total of 153 escalators and 110 lifts. If you need a lift, check on metrovalencia.es before you travel.
