Two platforms and four tracks: the two outer tracks are for the metro and the two in the middle for the tram, so changing between them happens within the same station. That layout sums up what Marítim is: the meeting point of four lines, Line 5 and Line 7 on the metro side and Line 6 and Line 8 on the tram side, and all four end their route here.

The available chronologies, none of them from the operator, date it to 3 April 2007, when the metro was extended to the port. At the time it was signed Marítim-Serrería; the name was shortened to Marítim in May 2022. It stands on calle de Jerónimo de Monsoriu, in the Camins al Grau district. In summer 2025, and again in summer 2026, the section between Aragó and Marítim was closed for infrastructure improvement works.

Interchanges and connections

  • Metro and tram: you can change here between Line 5, Line 6, Line 7 and Line 8 without leaving the station: FGV numbers it as a single facility.
  • Two sets of platforms: in FGV’s official count Marítim counts as two facilities because it has two numbers attached to different platforms. For passengers it is a single station.

What is near Marítim

Much of the traffic at Marítim is people changing: this is where you switch from the metro coming from the city centre to the trams serving the Grau, the port and the beach, and vice versa. At street level, the platforms are on calle de Jerónimo de Monsoriu, in the Aiora neighbourhood. The Chimenea monument is about 310 m away and the Poliesportiu Municipal Cabanyal – Canyamelar sports centre about 365 m, on the edge of the Poblats Marítims.

Frequently asked questions

Because its platforms form two groups with separate numbering, one for the metro lines and one for the tram lines, and FGV counts them separately in its network figures. On the ground it is a single facility, with one name and one shared site, and that is how this guide treats it.

Not within the station. Adif’s València-Cabanyal station, served by Cercanías commuter lines C-5 and C-6 and by Media Distancia (regional) trains, is about 700 metres to the north. You make the connection along the street, and FGV does not list it as an interchange or give a transfer time for it.

Marítim is served by Line 5, Line 6, Line 7 and Line 8 (metro and tram).
Marítim is in zone A of the ATMV fare system. Prices for each combination of zones are on tickets and cards.
From Monday to Thursday the first train calls at Marítim at about 05:45 and the last at about 23:15, depending on the direction and the line. On Friday and Saturday service runs on into the early hours, and on Sunday it starts later: the table above gives every direction, from the timetable published by FGV.
With the Metrovalencia Sencillo (single) ticket, a journey from Marítim to Xàtiva (zone combination A) costs €1.50. With the TuiN stored-value card or a SUMA ticket it works out a good deal cheaper: it is all on tickets and cards.
We cannot say. FGV does not publish the accessibility of each station: the station pages on its website do not carry the information, nor does its GTFS timetable, and there is no official list. For the network as a whole it does publish a total of 153 escalators and 110 lifts. If you need a lift, check on metrovalencia.es before you travel.
