Russafa is the most unusual stop on Line 10, the tram line it opened with on 17 May 2022: it is split over two floors. Technical and archaeological difficulties underground meant the tracks had to be stacked one above the other instead of laid side by side, a solution shared on the network only with Xàtiva. Trams towards Alacant use the upper level and those towards Natzaret the lower one.

It lies beneath avenida del Regne de València and has a single, triangular entrance opposite the Escuela de Artesanos. It is the second stop on the line counting from the terminus, between Alacant and Amado Granell – MontolivetES, and serves the southern side of the Russafa neighbourhood.

Frequently asked questions

Because of the technical and archaeological difficulties of the ground at this point: instead of laying the two tracks side by side, they were placed one above the other, each with its own platform. Metrovalencia has only one other similar arrangement, at Xàtiva.

The lower one. Trams towards Natzaret run on the lower floor and those towards Alacant, the opposite terminus, on the upper one. There is only one entrance from the street, opposite the Escuela de Artesanos, and from there you reach both levels.

Only Line 10, a tram line, serves Russafa.
Russafa is in zone A of the ATMV fare system. Prices for each combination of zones are on tickets and cards.
From Monday to Thursday the first tram calls at Russafa at about 05:45 and the last at about 23:38, depending on the direction and the line. On Friday and Saturday service runs on into the early hours, and on Sunday it starts later: the table above gives every direction, from the timetable published by FGV.
With the Metrovalencia Sencillo (single) ticket, a journey from Russafa to Xàtiva (zone combination A) costs €1.50. With the TuiN stored-value card or a SUMA ticket it works out a good deal cheaper: it is all on tickets and cards.
We cannot say. FGV does not publish the accessibility of each stop: the station pages on its website do not carry the information, nor does its GTFS timetable, and there is no official list. For the network as a whole it does publish a total of 153 escalators and 110 lifts. If you need a lift, check on metrovalencia.es before you travel.
