Colón station
Beneath calle Colón and plaza de los Pinazo, in the Sant Francesc neighbourhood, this station opened on 16 September 1998 with Line 3. What makes it special is the main entrance: the sunken enclosure in plaza de los Pinazo contains remains of València’s fourteenth-century city wall, which you see as you go down. The second, minor entrance is on the corner of Colón and Roger de Llúria.
The other lines arrived later: Line 5 on 30 April 2003, Line 7 on 22 September 2004 and Line 9 on 6 March 2015. Inside, the station is laid out on two half-levels: the entrances above, and below them the platform level with two platforms and two tracks. Metrovalencia has one of its customer service offices here.
