Xàtiva is the city-centre station next to the Estació del Nord, and its layout is unusual: its two platforms are on different levels. The reasons are physical — archaeological and technical difficulties, underground space already taken, and the Line 7 junctions just ten to fifteen metres from the platforms. Putting the platforms on separate levels stopped the track used by trains towards Torrent from interfering with the one used by trains towards Rafelbunyol, Alboraia Peris Aragó and Marítim.

From both underground levels you can see Line 7 trains go by; they do not stop here, for the same reasons and because the curve towards Bailén would otherwise be tighter. The station opened on 16 September 1998 and has recently gained a connection: on 11 May 2024 a temporary platform between Xàtiva and Alacant was approved to link up with Line 10, and on 18 December 2025 the pedestrian passage between Alacant and Xàtiva opened.
